Terms of service

These are the terms for using Stream Presence. They are written to be read, so they are shorter and plainer than most. Using the platform means you agree to them.

What the service is

Stream Presence is a set of tools for Twitch creators: a chat bot, an overlay studio, a site on your own domain, and a merch store built into that site. We provide the software. You run your own channel with it. We do not moderate your chat for you, we do not manage your community, and we are not your agency.

Your account

You need a Twitch account to sign in, and you are responsible for what happens under yours. You may give moderators and editors access, and anything they do counts as done by you.

You must be old enough to hold a Twitch account and to enter into a contract where you live.

Your channel is yours

Everything you make here belongs to you: your overlays, your commands, your site content and your products. We claim no ownership of it. We store and serve it so the platform can work, and if you leave you can take it with you.

The bot runs on your own Twitch bot account and your site sits on your own domain, which means those stay yours whatever happens to us.

Using it properly

You agree not to use Stream Presence to break the law, to harass anyone, to publish content you have no right to publish, or to get around Twitch's own rules. The bot acts on your channel with permissions you granted, so you are responsible for keeping your channel inside Twitch's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

Do not try to break the platform: no attacking the servers, no reselling access, and no using it to send spam.

Paying for it

Pricing is agreed with you before anything starts. There is no published price list, and nothing is charged without you having seen and accepted the number first.

Store sales are handled by Stripe or PayPal, and their fees and terms apply to those payments on top of ours.

Uptime, and what happens when it breaks

We work hard to keep this running while you are live, but no platform is up every second. We do not promise uninterrupted service, and parts of it depend on Twitch, on payment providers and on hosting we do not control.

If something breaks, tell us and we will fix it. What we do not do is accept liability for money you believe you lost while it was broken.

Ending it

You can leave whenever you want. Ask and we will delete your channel's data.

We can suspend an account that is breaking these terms, being used illegally, or putting the platform at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why first and give you a chance to fix it.

Liability

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost income, lost viewers or lost sponsorships. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud, because it legally cannot.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will tell creators directly and give reasonable notice before it takes effect, rather than quietly editing this page.
